Lightning Theatre’s ‘The Improvised Tragedy’ at the 2015 Victoria Fringe Festival

VICTORIA – It’s time to say ‘yes and’ to life it’s darkest and strangest moments.
Lightning Theatre takes a turn for the dark and absurd, tackling themes such us revenge, love, and progress, ‘The Improvised Tragedy’ will leave you counting your blessings and making sure you don't take the moment for granted.

“Tragedy claims that whatever the disaster is, the disaster is exceptional.” explains director Kevin Koch. “When our hero falls it offers a reflection to our world and says this is what’s ugly, and this is what’s beautiful! We’re taking inspiration from ancient greek tragedies and Shakespeare's plays to episodes from ‘Black Mirror’ and ‘The Twilight Zone’. The whole show is improvised on the spot which allows us to craft stories that the audience either wants to see or needs to see.”
Experience the journey and eventual fall of larger than life characters shown through the magical light of improvised storytelling.
